Tenerife 2011

Tenerife 2011

Back to Tenerife and what a pleasure. We have fallen in love with this beautifull island. Its lush landscapes in the north contrasts with the volcanic interior and the dryness in the south. Add a very dramatic coastline, a great kitchen and some pretty good diving and you have a love affair. The hiking is not bad either.
This year we only dived one day. 3 dives with the great company Aquamarina diving. This year they offered free nitrox, perfect.
Watertemperature around 20 degrees. A little cold in my 5 mm, but at the third dive I forgot all about that and just enjoyed the playful green turtles at El Puertito.
We also dived Palm Mar cave with all the morays and Palm Mar Roncadores with beautiful swimthrougs and of course a big school of rondadores. We also had a free swimming angel shark, a huge stingray, octopus, huge trumphet fish, parrotfish and quite a few crabs. Add in a jumping dolphin and is was a pretty good day.

If you are inspired to go, we highly recommend Aquamarina divecenter, if you want to dive in the south.
