Egypt We have been to Egypt twice so far and are looking forward to the third encounter with the magical Red Sea. Our first rendez-vous was back in June 2005 on a holiday to Sharm El Sheik. We dived with Sharks Bay Umbi Diving centre. It was not as crowded as we had feared and enjoyed the divesites in the Strait of Tiran. However the very highlight was Ras Mohammed. Pure worldclass. Seond trip was in April 2008 on a Blue o Two liveaboard on the "Simply the Best" itinerary. The Brothers and Daedalus reef were definately the highlights on a very good trip. We had encounters with turtles, friendly napoleon fish, grey reef sharks, thresher sharks and hammerhead sharks on all three dives on Daedalus. We are returning this summer and hopefully we will see some of the beautiful sharks. All the photo's are from the liveaboard.
Blue o Two We went on the Blue Fin. A very comfortable boat indeed. Very good food and no stomach problems at all. We were only 5 guests on board, so we had a lot of space. One of the guides is Elke who is an expert in sharks. She is doing a project on the Oceanic Whitetip and is very enthusiastic.
